JAPANelicious!

Last year, I was upset that all my Japanese friends were spending New Year’s with their families and I was spending it at home alone.

This year, the world is inviting me to their New Year’s celebrations, and I just want to stay at home and do nothing, and I’m tired of making excuses and trying not to offend people.

Am I ridiculous?

The Psalms are like David’s blog…

except everything is spelled and capitalized properly and there are no gifs

WHAT IF THE PSALMS HAD GIFS

“Why are you downcast, my soul, why do you groan within me?” Ps 42:12

“Bless the Lord, my soul; all my being, bless his holy name!” Ps 103:1

“Let them praise his name in festive dance…” Ps 149:3

“I am very near to falling; my pain is with me always,” Ps 38:18

This.

“When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish before your presence.”
Psalm 9:3

I don’t ever post on this blog anymore…

“In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths” (Proverbs 3:6, NKJ)
Do you need direction in your life? Ask yourself, “Am I acknowledging God in all my ways?” In other words, is He first place in your life? All throughout the day, we should be acknowledging God, asking for His help, seeking His wisdom, obeying His commands and thanking Him for His goodness.
In the morning, we should wake up and say, “Father, thank You for another beautiful day. I commit this day, my plans and my future into Your hands.” When you start the day like this, you are acknowledging God. He promises to crown your day with success. When you are driving on the freeway say, “Father, thank You for keeping me safe.” At the office say, “Lord, help me to be focused and productive today.” At home, “Father, bless my children.” Before you go to bed, “Lord, thank You for a good night’s rest.” When you’re acknowledging Him in all your ways, He promises to direct your paths. He promises to lead and guide you into paths of peace, joy and everlasting life!

I really need this.

“Monku o itte mo hajima ranai daro” — “Complaining won’t change anything”

That actually says “Even if you complain it won’t begin, right?”

Lord, help me.

What does one do when their slightly-less-than-sane (legitimately) step-brother is playing reggae music extremely loud in the attic at 10pm so that you can’t sleep or think. Ignore it? Play something louder? Ask him to turn it down (and risk what may ensue)?

My parents did ask him to move out… By October 1st.

Maybe it’s time to break out the guitar and sing “Call me, maybe”…

Although, it’s probably not Christlike to fight fire with fire… But Jesus was pretty crafty. Is playing “Call me maybe” crafty? I made a Christian parody of the song, does that make it better?

*Sigh* I’m probably going to take the passive-aggressive route and ignore it but tell my parents tomorrow and let them deal with it.

Can I just say that I strongly dislike reggae music and it is one of the main causes of my migraines at my house?
